Our client, formerly part of a car manufacturer, and with limited external customers, had become an independent supplier of automotive services and needed a more market-oriented commercial approach. At the same time, it had to become more project-driven, undertake process integration and develop more effective, integrated business information.

We were asked to do a feasibility study on the implementation of a new ERP system, which could support the future business processes, organisations and integrated information needs. Potential systems had to be listed and rated on the basis of defined criteria.

Voorne Partners interviewed all the business process owners to identify the processes needed for the future. Where there were gaps, automotive industry best practice was adopted.

Using our process, organisation and IT capabilities, a blueprint for the future processes and organisation was created. It covered IT requirements and potential ERP systems rated on functionality, cost, implementation speed, flexibility and adaptability. The results were presented to company management.
