Business Modelling

We do not always recognise it, but the Business Model is part of the management control framework. In some companies this is a formal process, in others it is informal and only indirectly visible.

By our definition, a Business Model comprises:

  • A Trading Model, describing the legal and fiscal structure of (a group of) companies
  • A (business unit) Steering Model, describing how (financial) performance is managed and how business units (or a group of units) is managed
  • A (financial) Control Model, describing the (financial) control and reporting principles
  • An Organisation Model, describing the roles and responsibilities of the (geographical) business- and legal entity
  • A Performance Control Matrix, describing how (financial) performance and accountability is assigned within the Organisation Model.

Our experience shows that redefining or realigning a Business Model is a valuable exercise for every company. Implementation demands in-depth knowledge of the business and the relevant models, and above all proven skills in change management. Voorne Partners' successful track record is based on offering all these capabilities to its clients.
